House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., has promised that he will invite Joe Biden to provide his testimony in the ongoing impeachment inquiry that has been investigating the Biden family’s alleged financial gains from foreign business dealings.

“In the coming days, I will invite President Joe Biden to the House Oversight Committee to provide his own testimony and explain why his family received tens of millions of dollars from foreign companies with his assistance,” he wrote on X.

His comment comes just one day after Wednesday’s testimony from Hunter Biden’s former business partner, Tony Bobulinski, before the House Oversight Committee. The Oversight Committee noted that witnesses on Wednesday “confirmed Joe Biden was involved with his family’s business dealings and their attempts to sell access to him.”

When asked if Joe Biden was “involved” with his family’s alleged attempts to “sell” access to him (as vice president), Bobulinski answered, “Yes.”

He also confirmed that Hunter Biden utilized Joe Biden’s name to “benefit their business associates.”

Chairman Comer, perhaps most damningly, asked Bobulinski if Joe Biden had ever interacted with Hunter’s business associates. “He did multiple times,” Bobulinski said.

Upon closing Wednesday’s impeachment hearing, Comer stated, “Joe Biden was either used by his family over and over again and paraded in front of his business partners to rake in millions of dollars, OR he knew EXACTLY what he was doing to enrich his family. Joe Biden was either complicit or incompetent, and the American people deserve to know which one it is.”

He noted that receiving “tens of millions of dollars from our adversaries around the world” was hardly “acceptable” behavior for the family of the President of the United States. Comer added that there were not, at this point, any denials that the Biden family was “influence peddling” to garner cash.

“What we have here is a major discrepancy of what role Joe Biden played,” the chairman continued.

He rounded off his comments by stating that he would be inviting Joe Biden himself to the Oversight Committee to “provide his testimony and explain why his family received tens of millions of dollars from foreign companies with his assistance – we need to hear it from the president himself.”
