The New Hampshire Republican primary is next week, but ABC News is canceling its NH GOP debate due to a lack of candidates.
According to Politico, after President Donald Trump’s big Iowa caucus win, third-place contender Nikki Haley refused to attend unless he debated her.
An ABC spokesperson stated, “Our intent was to host a debate coming out of the Iowa caucuses, but we always knew that would be contingent on the candidates and the outcome of the race.”
President Trump has foregone all of the Republican primary debates due to a new rule instated by the GOP, which requires participants to pledge to vote for whomever the party chooses to be the nominee, per the IJR.
RSBN reported that President Trump has been leading in the polls for months, and he won Iowa by the widest margin ever obtained by a Republican candidate, via RSBN.
Various conservatives have declared that President Trump is the candidate they want and are urging Haley and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to drop out of the race and rally around the obvious frontrunner.
Rep. Lauren Boebart posted on X on Tuesday, “President Trump is the WINNER of the Iowa caucuses. It’s time for everyone else to get out of the race and begin to unite our party around Trump!”
“Focus resources on building a state-of-the-art legal team to beat voter fraud & help down ballot swing seats,” she added.
Then she concluded, “The nomination is clear and it’s been clear since the moment Trump announced!”
