One year ago, Big Tech BANNED Trump – now he’s launching his own social media platform

One year ago on Jan. 8, President Donald J. Trump, the sitting 45th president of the United States, was banned from Twitter.

Additionally, President Trump was also suspended from Facebook soon after, following the social media giant’s claim that he could “incite violence” on the platform.

Now, one year later, President Trump is swinging back against the tyranny of Big Tech and their war on free speech with the launch of his own social media platform, Truth Social, which was announced in October 2021.

Truth Social, which is set to launch in February 2022 as an app, will be an alternative networking site to Twitter. Truth Social is set to release through Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), beginning with the launch of the app, followed by an on-demand subscription, and eventually will include a podcast platform.

Since the announcement of Truth Social, stock in TMTG has skyrocketed, and after the merge between Digital World Acquisition Group in October, TMTG is now valued at roughly $5.8 billion.

On Saturday, conservatives and Trump supporters across the digital fruited plain commemorated the anniversary of Trump’s ban on social media by posting an emoji of an orange, a playful tongue-in-cheek reference to President Trump:

Since leaving office, President Trump has often ripped social media platforms for censoring, banning, and de-platforming conservative voices.

Last week, Trump slammed Twitter for banning Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-GA., for supposedly violating their Covid-19 misinformation policy. “Marjorie Taylor Greene has a huge constituency of honest, patriotic, hard-working people,” Trump said in an official statement released through his Save America PAC. “They don’t deserve what’s happened to them on places like low-life Twitter and Facebook,” he continued.

Conservatives and proponents of free speech are looking forward to the launch of President Trump’s Truth Social app, where the American people will be afforded a voice again without fear of being banned by tyrannical Big Tech oligarchs.
