Monday’s anticipated testimony from Devon Archer, Hunter Biden’s former friend and business associate, scored a home run for House Republicans who have been investigating the shady business dealings of Joe Biden and his family.

Per the House Oversight Committee, they completed a transcribed interview with Archer on Monday, stating that his testimony “confirms Joe Biden lied to the American people when he said he had no knowledge about his son’s business dealings and was not involved.”

In an extensive Twitter thread, the committee laid out the key takeaway points from the interview with Archer, which strongly backed up suspicions that Joe Biden, while serving as vice president during the Obama administration, allegedly used his position of power as leverage in overseas business deals.

The committee explained, “When Joe Biden was Vice President of the United States, he joined Hunter Biden’s dinners with his foreign business associates in person or by speakerphone over 20 times. Devon Archer testified that the value of adding Hunter Biden to Burisma’s board was ‘the brand’ and confirmed that then-Vice President Joe Biden was ‘the brand’ and that the 20 phone calls were to sell ‘the brand.’”

Yesterday, preliminary reports circulated that Archer had testified that Joe Biden was an integral part of the Biden family “brand” being sold to foreign companies like Ukrainian-based energy company Burisma Holdings Limited.

According to the Oversight Committee, Archer testified that Burisma would have “gone out of business” if the Biden “brand’ had not been attached to it.” Per his testimony, the Bidens’ name recognition allegedly deterred legal attacks against Burisma Holdings.

The committee additionally revealed the following:

“In December 2015, Mykola Zlochevsky, the owner of Burisma, and Vadym Pozharski, an executive of Burisma, placed constant pressure on Hunter Biden to get help from D.C. regarding the Ukrainian prosecutor, Viktor Shokin. Shokin was investigating Burisma for corruption. Hunter Biden, along with Zlochevsky and Pozharski, ‘called D.C.’ to discuss the matter. Biden, Zlochevsky, and Pozharski stepped away to make the call. This raises concerns that Hunter Biden was in violation of the Foreign Agents Registration Act.”

Additional takeaway points from Archer’s testimony included the following allegations:

  • Joe Biden “dialed into a dinner in Paris with a French energy company,”
  • Joe Biden dialed into a dinner in China with the CEO of BHR,
  • Joe Biden had coffee with the BHR CEO in Beijing,
  • Hunter Biden called Joe “my guy,”
  • Joe Biden had dinner in D.C. with Hunter’s business associates, which included Elena Baturina, a Russian oligarch.
