House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., and Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, revealed there may be damning information about Joe Biden’s involvement in a criminal scheme with a foreign national, based on information from a “highly credible” whistleblower.

“According to a whistleblower, this record details an alleged arrangement involving an exchange of money for policy decisions,” the GOP Oversight Committee wrote on Twitter.

In a letter addressed to FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland, the lawmakers added they are “demanding the FBI produce an unclassified record alleging a criminal scheme involving then-Vice President Joe Biden and a foreign national.”

Comer subsequently issued a subpoena on Wednesday, directing the FBI “to produce all specified FD-1023 forms” identified in a specified timeline and schedule.

Describing the significance of this massive development in the GOP’s ongoing investigation into the Biden family’s corruption, Rep. Comer said in a press release:

“The information provided by a whistleblower raises concerns that then-Vice President Biden allegedly engaged in a bribery scheme with a foreign national. The American people need to know if President Biden sold out the United States of America to make money for himself. Senator Grassley and I will seek the truth to ensure accountability for the American people.”

Sen. Grassley called for answers on what the FBI “has done to verify these claims or investigate further.” He added, “The FBI’s recent history of botching politically charged investigations demands close congressional oversight.”

This is a developing story.
