Over the past nine months, President Trump has achieved so much, but Monday’s peace agreement – inked in Egypt – was perhaps the crown jewel of his administration so far.

Surrounded by world leaders, the president officially signed peace documents sealing the deal on the Gaza peace plan, which is bringing an end to the bloody conflict between Hamas and Israel.

On Tuesday, the president confirmed that all 20 living hostages had been successfully returned to their families. This comes as phase one – which includes the initial withdrawal of Israeli Defense Forces from the Gaza Strip to an agreed-upon line – concludes.

“A big burden has been lifted, but the job IS NOT DONE,” the president wrote on Truth Social.

He added, “THE DEAD HAVE NOT BEEN RETURNED, AS PROMISED! Phase Two begins right NOW!!! President DJT[.]”

The second phase of this agreement includes delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza and facilitating the reconstruction of the strip, with supervision by a Palestinian committee, ultimately overseen by an international body known as the “Board of Peace.”

President Donald Trump will serve as the chairman of this board, which will also include other respected heads of state, such as former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair.

Only President Trump could have facilitated a peace deal like this. Only he had the courage to see it through.

An impossibility made possible

For decades, peace in the Middle East has seemed like a fairytale concept. The United States has been hopelessly dragged into endless foreign wars. The Middle East has long been a hot topic of discussion among political leaders and the U.S. military. It has seemed that, no matter how hard people try, that region of the world always falls back into chaos.

Following the Hamas invasion of Israel on October 7, 2023, a bloody war has claimed the lives of thousands of people on both sides of the conflict – those in the Holy Land and those in the Gaza Strip.

This conflict, which some argue is deeply rooted in thousands of years of animosity, has become a focal point for the entire world, as some have sided with Israel in this conflict, and others have argued that the Gazans have a right to establish a Palestinian state in the Gaza Strip.

President Trump’s Gaza peace plan essentially establishes a two-state solution, allowing for the demilitarization and removal of Hamas terrorism, while also facilitating the rebuilding of the territory.

“Together, we have achieved what everybody said was impossible, and at long last, we have peace in the Middle East,” President Trump said on Monday during remarks in Egypt.

This peace deal may be one of the most important deals ever brokered, because it not only stopped the horrible killing in the Middle East, but it also provides a credible path forward to the people of the region who desire to live without the threat of terrorism and death hanging over their heads.

It also proves that peace in the Middle East – and around the world – is completely possible and attainable when someone in the White House has the will and the fortitude to put in the hard work.

Who else, except President Trump, could have possibly achieved such an incredible deal in less than one year back in the White House?

Who else, except President Trump, could have flown to Israel and Egypt in one day, gathered the leaders of the world together for a signing, and returned to the United States in roughly 40 hours?

Who else, except President Trump, could have shown Israel and Gaza, and the world, how to bring this conflict to an end?

There is nobody else. Only President Trump could have made this happen, and what a blessing it is that he is in the White House for such a time as this.
