Voters in The Lone Star State made clear that President Trump was their choice for the 2024 Republican presidential nominee on Super Tuesday.
President Trump’s strong stance on securing the southern border has undoubtedly contributed to his popularity in the state.
He received endorsements from Republican Governor Greg Abbott, along with Texas Republican Sens. Ted Cruz, John Cornyn, and host of House lawmakers.
Texas was one of the six Super Tuesday open primary election states, allowing voters to cast their ballot for any candidate, regardless of party registration.
The polls closed in at 8:00 p.m. ET.
