President Donald Trump congratulated Patrick and Brittany Mahomes on the birth of their daughter, Golden Raye.
Trump shared the message on his Truth Social profile on Thursday to celebrate the birth of the third child for the Kansas City Chiefs MVP quarterback and his wife.
“Congratulations to the Chiefs GREAT Quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, and his very beautiful and BRILLIANT wife, Brittany, on the birth of their new baby daughter, Golden Raye. This is what I call a baby with great genes, both mother and father. It’s happy times in the wonderful Mahomes family. See you all on Sunday!” he wrote.
Golden Raye Mahomes was born on Jan. 12, the couple announced on Instagram. The couple has been married since 2022 and has a daughter named Sterling and a son named Bronze.
Trump shared the encouraging words days ahead of his plans to attend the Super Bowl on Sunday in New Orleans between the Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles. He will be the first sitting president to do so.
RSBN previously reported that the U.S. Secret Service said in a statement on Tuesday that it had staff members in New Orleans evaluating security measures ahead of the planned visit of the matchup between the Chiefs and Eagles on Sunday.
“Extensive planning and coordination have been in place to ensure the safety of all attendees, players, and staff,” Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said in a statement. “Security measures have been further enhanced this year, given that this will be the first time a sitting President of the United States will attend the event.”
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem also met with Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry and New Orleans Police Captain Lejon Roberts on Monday morning to discuss security plans for Super Bowl LIX.
“Today, it’s an honor for me to be here with the governor and the mayor in New Orleans,” Noem said.
Trump also plans to conduct a pregame interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier recorded from Florida before the game.
The president has not indicated which team he is cheering for during the game. Trump congratulated the Kansas City Chiefs after their victory in the AFC Championship in a 32-29 battle.
The win gives the Chiefs the chance to become the first NFL team to win three consecutive Super Bowls under MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
“Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs. What a GREAT Team, Coach, Quarterback, and virtually everything else, including those fantastic FANS, that voted for me (MAGA!) in record numbers,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social profile.
Trump also encouraged the Buffalo Bills on their achievements during the NFL season.
“Likewise, congratulations to the Buffalo Bills on a tremendous season. They will do a lot of winning long into the future!!!” he added.
