President Donald Trump made an appearance on Tuesday in the James Brady Briefing Room, marking the first anniversary of his second term in office with a very long list of his administration’s accomplishments thus far.
Tuesday was a momentous occasion for the president, as the White House released a lengthy document detailing the administration’s wins over the past 365 days, even providing members of the press with a very thick stack of papers laying out those wins.
The president took the podium and spoke for over an hour. He opened his remarks by slowly thumbing through a stack of mugshots from criminal aliens arrested in Minnesota by ICE enforcement agents, reading their convictions aloud.
“This was all allowed into our country through open borders,” President Trump said, criticizing the Biden administration.
He also slammed the protests in Minneapolis, arguing that merely for attempting to arrest violent criminals, “we’re met with paid agitators.”
The president went through the highlights of the past year while speaking, pointing out big wins like:
- Ending Biden’s “stagflation” and surging the GDP, along with favorable stock market conditions,
- Adding $9 trillion value to retirement accounts, savings accounts, and 4O1(k)s,
- A “record-breaking” $18 trillion in investments secured during the first 12 months of the Trump administration,
- Securing “Most Favored Nation” pricing for prescription drugs in America,
- Signing critical mineral deals in places like Thailand, Australia, and Malaysia,
- Withdrawing from the World Health Organization, which President Trump described as “corrupt,”
- Lowering gas prices nationwide,
- Signing the “One Big Beautiful Bill” Act in 2025,
- Using tariffs as a trade tool, therefore slashing the trade deficit, the president said,
- Boosting private sector job growth,
- Banning transgender individuals from the U.S. military.
The president also touched on acquiring Greenland, which has become a recent priority of the administration. A reporter asked him how far he would be willing to go to acquire the country for America.
“You’ll find out,” President Trump replied.
The president additionally looked forward to his trip to Davos, Switzerland, where he will deliver a speech at the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting.
“I think more than anything else, what I’m going to be speaking about is the tremendous success that we’ve had in one year,” he said. “…We have the most successful country in the world. We have the hottest country anywhere in the world, by far.”
