President Trump has recently endorsed a new book by Breitbart News Senior Contributor Peter Schweizer. In The Invisible Coup: How American Elites and Foreign Powers Use Immigration as a Weapon, Schweizer explores an area of immigration policy that has received less national attention but could still have a massive political impact in the U.S.

As the crackdown on illegal immigration under the Trump administration continues to be a political focal point for both Democrats and Republicans, Schweitzer’s book examines the effects of other areas of U.S. policy, including birthright citizenship. According to Schweizer, the strategic use of legal immigration could potentially shape the American electorate and have massive implications for future elections.

Schweizer’s research uncovers the exploitation of “birth tourism” by Chinese elites and estimates that this practice could result in as many as one million Chinese nationals being eligible to vote in the U.S. in 2030. Birth tourism, as explained by Schweizer, refers to the practice of foreign nationals coming to the U.S. to have children. Schweizer describes the practice as highly organized and supported by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Estimates from Chinese officials cited in the book indicated between 50,000 and 100,000 such births occurring in the U.S. each year.

Schweizer points to the unique challenges this practice places on the U.S., saying those born through birthright citizenship are “children of elites who have prospered in the communist Chinese system.” According to Schweizer, these children are given U.S. citizenship, but are “suitably indoctrinated in CCP-controlled schools and taught about US values, culture, or history, from a distorted CCP perspective.” Schweizer also notes the chain migration issue presented through birthright citizenship. Under U.S. immigration law, once these children reach the age of 21 they may apply for resident status for both of their parents.

President Trump shared his endorsement of the book on Sunday in a Truth Social post. “A GREAT NEW BOOK, by NumberOne Bestselling Author, Peter Schweizer, “The Invisible Coup: How American Elites and Foreign Powers Use Immigration as a Weapon,” is out Tuesday. It is both vitally important and very interesting,” President Trump said. “Bad things have been happening to the U.S.A., and we must stop it, NOW! We will not let anyone “bring down the American Empire.” BUY THIS BOOK!”
