President Donald Trump this week hyped up the upcoming celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, and he has invited the nation to join him for this once-in-a-lifetime event.
“The Fourth of July Airshow, over Washington, D.C., our Great Capital, will be the biggest, by far, in the History of the United States of America,” the president declared on Friday.
The “Salute to America” event will take place on the Washington Monument Grounds in D.C., and will feature music, military flyovers, and a speech from President Trump.
“Hundreds of Planes, of different types, sizes, and speeds, will be on display,” the president revealed. “It goes from 1:15 P.M. in the afternoon, until 11:30 in the evening. I will be speaking at approximately 9 P.M., preceding the Fireworks which again, like the Airshow, will be approximately ten times larger than any Fireworks in the History of our Country. So, if you like Airplanes and Fireworks and President Trump, be there!”
According to Freedom 250’s website – the organization spearheading this event – military flyovers and musical performances will begin at about 1:00 PM ET. The fireworks show that President Trump referred to in his comments will be massive.
It will feature 850,000 fireworks shells launched from 10 different sites, Freedom 250 revealed.
Just this week, President Trump kicked off the final stretch of patriotic celebration by delivering remarks at the opening of the “Great American State Fair.”
He excitedly previewed the July 4th celebration to audience members during his speech.
“On July 4th, we will have the greatest show of all on the National Mall – your favorite president will be speaking!” he quipped. “So please show up!”
As reported by RSBN, the president will also attend an Independence Day celebration in South Dakota next week, where he will participate in an event at Mount Rushmore on July 3.
