President Donald Trump didn’t back down from his recent statements about the threat that communism poses to America, slamming Democrats for embracing a political ideology that is dangerous for the country.

“These are not Social Dumocrats,” he remarked during a speech at the Faith & Freedom Coalition on Friday. “These are hardcore godless communists…all communists are godless; they don’t believe in God. This is the most serious threat to our country since its existence, in my opinion.”

He also said that addressing this issue wasn’t “something that’s easily solved.”

President Trump’s comments on Friday directly followed two statements he posted to Truth Social, in which he addressed what he believes is a rising tide of communist sentiment in the United States.

“The Communists are finally making their move,” the president wrote this week, somewhat cryptically.

He added, “I’ve been waiting and preparing for this for a long time. It’s easy to be a Communist — All you have to do is say, ‘I’ll give you everything,’ but that means you’re taking it away from others that have earned it. Over thousands of years, that Ideology has not worked once. The game is on. Enjoy watching!”

Directly preceding his speech at the Faith & Freedom Coalition, President Trump also released a lengthy statement slamming communism and previewing his comments at the event. He linked his concern about the political ideology directly to the “recent Election of Communists in our Country.”

He was likely referring to the recent progressive victory sweep of highly leftist candidates in New York City, all of them heavily backed by Democratic Socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani.

“Isn’t it ironic, we’re celebrating a very important Birthday, and instead of speaking about Christ, Freedom, and Victories of all different kinds, we’re speaking about yet another threat to the Foundations of America,” the president said in his Truth Social statement. “These ruthless Communists will attack all Religions but, in particular, Christianity – They always do.”

He again emphasized his belief that communism rising from within America is the “Greatest Threat to our Country since its Founding 250 years ago!”

During his remarks on Friday, he struck a hopeful tone while addressing this problem.

“Communism really is the past—and freedom is the future… Everyone needs to get out and vote in the midterms. We have to win this election; this election’s very vital,” the president declared.

He vowed to ensure that America’s upcoming anniversary would be the touchstone for further solidifying liberty for all.

“And in our 250th year, we will make our nation stronger, safer, better, more prosperous and more faithful…than ever before,” he said.
