President Trump jokes that Greta Thunberg has an ‘anger management’ problem

President Donald Trump took a jab at climate activist Greta Thunberg this week amid her inexplicable decision to attempt to deliver aid to Gaza last week, resulting in her – and others’ – detainment by Israeli forces.

“She’s a troublemaker,” President Trump said during a press conference in the Oval Office. “She’s an anger management problem – I think she should see a doctor.”

He added, “Nah, you can have her. She’s just a troublemaker.”

According to the BBC, Thunberg was deported, along with a total of 170 other pro-Palestinian activists, to Greece and Slovakia. These activists were scattered amid a large flotilla that aimed to break through a naval blockade.

In Greece, the BBC reported that Thunberg remarked, “I could talk for a very, very long time about our mistreatment and abuses in our imprisonment, trust me, but that is not the story.”

However, the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs has pointedly denied Thunberg’s claims of mistreatment while she and the other activists were detained:

“The claims regarding the mistreatment of Greta Thunberg and other detainees from the Hamas–Sumud flotilla are brazen lies. All the detainees’ legal rights are fully upheld.

Interestingly enough, Greta herself and other detainees refused to expedite their deportation and insisted on prolonging their stay in custody. Greta also did not complain to the Israeli authorities about any of these ludicrous and baseless allegations – because they never occurred.”

While Thunberg was detained in Israel, President Donald Trump secured Israel’s support for a 20-point peace plan to bring an end to the conflict in Gaza.

“Let’s call it ‘eternal peace’ in the Middle East,” the president said last week.

Since then, many other nations have signaled their support for this peace plan, and Hamas terrorists are being pressured to return Israeli hostages as quickly as possible. If Hamas does not cooperate, President Trump stated last week that Israel has U.S. backing to put an end to Hamas and “finish the job.”
