President Trump met with Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán at Mar-a-Lago on Thursday evening, just hours after Orbán attended the NATO summit in Washington D.C.

The two have met frequently to discuss what foreign relations would look like during the second Trump administration, with a major focus on ending the war in Ukraine.

Orbán shared a highlight video of his visit on X, formerly Twitter, captioning the post with, “We continued the peace mission in Mar-a-Lago,” adding that President Trump “has proved during his presidency that he is a man of peace. He will do it again!”

Orbán also posted a photo of himself and Trump, naming the meeting “Peace mission 5.0.” He also revealed details of their talks, writing, “We discussed ways to make #peace. The good news of the day: he’s going to solve it!”

President Trump shared Orbán’s post on Truth Social and thanked him for his kind words. He declared, “There must be PEACE, and quickly. Too many people have died in a war that should have never started! DJT.”

Orbán is the longest-serving leader in the European Union and has frequently said that President Trump’s return to office is the “only serious chance” of ending the war.

Orbán recently met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Following his meeting with Putin, Orbán said, “I wanted to know where we can find the shortest road to peace.”
