President Trump appeared on The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton show on Friday, where he weighed in on George Clooney’s treatment of Biden. Trump criticized Clooney as disloyal for his statements calling on Biden to drop out of the race.

“I thought Clooney was very disloyal,” Trump said during the interview. “Because whether you like Biden or not, he’s been nice to Clooney. I thought it was very disloyal. Backstabber. Third-rate movie actor.”

President Trump’s criticism of George Clooney comes in the wake of a New York Times op-ed written by the actor in which he called on President Biden to drop out of the race.

Clooney’s opinion piece was written just weeks after he hosted a massive fundraiser for Biden, which raised over $30 million for his campaign. Apparently, Clooney’s support for Biden waned after the disastrous debate performance that led to Biden’s sinking poll numbers.

President Trump has continually criticized Clooney for his hypocrisy in supporting Biden until it appeared that he was no longer a strong enough candidate to win the election.

In a Truth Social post on Wednesday, Trump echoed the comments he made to Clay Travis and Buck Sexton, calling Clooney a “fake movie actor” who “turned on Crooked Joe.”

“What does Clooney know about anything?” asked Trump. “He uses the Democrat ‘talking point’ that Biden, the WORST President in the history of the United States has “saved our Democracy.”

Trump continued by pointing out the Biden administration’s failures and how they have weakened rather than saved the country.

“Clooney should get out of politics and go back to television,” Trump said. “Movies never really worked for him!!!”
