President Donald Trump has urged Republicans to terminate the Senate filibuster, issuing a chilling warning that Democrats will utilize their congressional power to implement radical policies nationwide if the GOP doesn’t work to prioritize its own America First agenda before it’s too late.

As the nation hits day 37 of the Democrat-led shutdown, the ongoing federal funding freeze comes amid a “blue wave” of political victories for the Democrat Party nationwide on Tuesday’s Election Day.

President Trump, in a new video statement, noted that Democrats would waste no time in eliminating the filibuster in the Senate “the first chance they get” if they gain the majority in Congress next year and use their power to “pack the Supreme Court of the United States, pick up two states, and add at least eight electoral votes.”

He added, “Don’t be weak, don’t be stupid, Republicans. Fight, fight, fight, win, win, win. We will immediately end the extortionist shutdown, get all of our agenda passed, and make life so good for Americans that these deranged Democrat politicians will never again have the chance to destroy America.”

The president warned that Republicans would “rue the day that you didn’t terminate the filibuster – be tough, be smart, and win. This is much bigger than the shutdown. This is the survival of our country. Terminate the filibuster.”

What is a filibuster? It is a senatorial tradition meant to either delay or prolong a vote on legislative action. However, in 1917, the Senate adopted a new rule that allows a two-thirds majority to end a filibuster. This manual override, so to speak, is also known as “cloture.”

President Trump’s urging to terminate the Senate filibuster also comes amid a solemn warning he issued earlier this week.

“The Democrats are far more likely to win the Midterms, and the next Presidential Election, if we don’t do the Termination of the Filibuster (The Nuclear Option!), because it will be impossible for Republicans to get Common Sense Policies done with these Crazed Democrat Lunatics being able to block everything by withholding their votes,” he wrote on Truth Social.

He added, “FOR THREE YEARS, NOTHING WILL BE PASSED, AND REPUBLICANS WILL BE BLAMED. Elections, including the Midterms, will be rightfully brutal.”

The president argued that if the filibuster were terminated, Republicans could “get EVERYTHING approved” and therefore codify key agenda items like election integrity, the safeguarding of women’s sports, tax and energy cuts, and so much more.

“If we don’t do it, they are far more likely to do well in the upcoming Elections, which would mean a PACKED Supreme Court, 2 more States and 4 more Democrat Senators (D.C. and Puerto Rico), and 8 more Electoral Votes,” President Trump further cautioned.

In other words, President Trump warned that Republicans remaining stagnant in Congress will hand Democrats midterm victories and ensure that the left will ruthlessly and unapologetically codify their agenda as fast as they can:

“TERMINATE THE FILIBUSTER NOW, END THE RIDICULOUS SHUTDOWN IMMEDIATELY, AND THEN, MOST IMPORTANTLY, PASS EVERY WONDERFUL REPUBLICAN POLICY THAT WE HAVE DREAMT OF, FOR YEARS, BUT NEVER GOTTEN. WE WILL BE THE PARTY THAT CANNOT BE BEATEN[.]”
