Water is flowing again at Meridian Hill Park in Washington, D.C., as part of President Donald Trump’s efforts to restore public spaces in the nation’s capital city.

In a series of posts on Truth Social, President Trump showed footage of the newly repaired fountain operating after supposedly being neglected for an extended period.

The U.S. Department of the Interior previously revealed Saturday that the water was turned back on as part of the president’s efforts to bring these public spaces back to life ahead of the nation’s 250th anniversary.

Likewise, the president noted that the fountain’s previous neglect came with homeless camps and drug addicts, but his 2025 executive order on restoring the capital city.

Meridian Hill is only one example of the president’s efforts to improve national monuments ahead of America’s Semiquincentennial, RSBN reported.

The president has notably begun construction of a new White House ballroom where the East Wing once stood, while also proposing an overhaul of the Trump-Kennedy Center.

He has also proposed a gigantic triumphal arch across the Potomac River from the Lincoln Memorial, which has received preliminary design approval from the arts commission.
