President Donald Trump rang in the New Year in style at Mar-a-Lago alongside a slate of conservative allies and friends on New Year’s Eve. “We’re going to have a GREAT 2024,” he told the audience via a video shared on social media.
He continued, “We’re going to make America GREAT again. We will make America great again. Thank you – we love you all. Have a great time, have a great New Year!”
The crowd applauded the president’s remarks as he spoke. Later in the evening, 90s-era rapper Vanilla Ice rocked the stage for guests. At one point, the rapper was joined on stage by another 90s-era staple: a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.
The colorful performances also included an Elvis impersonator at one point, as well.
During his brief remarks to the energetic audience, President Trump explained that First Lady Melania Trump was absent from the night’s celebration because she was with her mother, Amalija Knavs. The president explained that Amalija was “very ill.”
“So, we just want to say hello to the First Lady,” he said. “We just spoke…it’s a very tough one.”
He noted that the First Lady “sends her love to everybody” and “we just want to wish that Amalija – that she gets better as quickly as possible.”
On Truth Social, President Trump shared a short but sweet New Year’s message on Monday, writing, “Happy New Year. It will be a historic one. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”
Preceding the kick start of 2024, Trump also noted that he wanted to facetiously wish “Crooked Joe Biden and his group of Radical Left Misfits & Thugs” a “New Year’s salutation.”
He eviscerated the open border crisis, which reached shocking new heights in December, with the illegal crossings of more than 225,000 illegal migrants in a single month between Dec. 1 and Dec. 27, according to CBS News.
Trump warned, “They [Biden and co.] are now scrambling to sign up as many of those millions of people they are illegally allowing into sour [sic] Country, in order that they will be ready to VOTE IN THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION OF 2024.”
