TRUMP: ‘Oath of Office’ compelled him to shed light on ‘Rigged and Stolen’ 2020 election

President Donald Trump released a series of fiery statements on Truth Social on New Year’s Day, responding to an article in the New York Times that discussed the issue of presidential immunity in Special Counsel Jack Smith’s case against the president.

The article addressed the question of whether “former presidents can be criminally liable for things they did while in office.”

The president offered a stunning rebuttal of any claims that he could be. He wrote, “First of all, I did nothing wrong, and while it should not even matter, I was not campaigning—The 2020 Election was LONG OVER.”

The case in Washington, D.C., is based on allegations that the president somehow interfered with the 2020 presidential election.

Per Politico, there are four felony charges in the case, which essentially allege that President Trump attempted to interfere with the certification of electoral votes following 2020, among other charges.

However, Americans may recall that the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election was rife with numerous reports and allegations of election irregularities.

President Trump pointed this out, writing in his rebuttal, “What I was doing is bringing to light the fact that the Election was, without question, Rigged and Stolen. As President, and Commander-in-Chief, it was my duty to do so! If I did not do this, I would have been in violation of my Oath of Office….”

He warned that Americans “cannot let our Elections ever be CORRUPTED again.” The president explained that in 2016, Democrats challenged the election results “and nothing was done to them.”

President Trump reminded the country of the litany of injustices that have been aimed at him and his campaign since initially running for office, highlighting the “Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax,” the allegations of Clinton spying on his campaign, government and Big Tech censorship, “Stuffed Ballot Boxes,” and state legislators that bypassed proper channels to implement 2020 election protocol changes.

The president foreshadowed the dangers of stripping away presidential immunity from an executive officer of the U.S., stating, “REMEMBER, if I don’t have Presidential Immunity, then Crooked Joe Biden doesn’t have it either, and he would certainly be Prosecuted for his many ACTUAL CRIMES…”

He concluded, “He [Biden] is playing a very dangerous game, and the great people of America WILL NOT STAND FOR IT. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”
