President Trump says it looks like ‘we have a deal on Gaza’

President Donald Trump on Friday attended the Ryder Cup at the Bethpage Black Course in New York, where he was accompanied by his granddaughter, Kai Trump.

Before departing for the golfing event, the president spoke to the press at the White House, just before boarding Marine One, and he made an announcement suggesting that peace may be on the horizon in the Middle East.

“I think we have maybe a deal on Gaza…it’s looking like we have a deal on Gaza,” he said.

The president wore a dark suit with no tie. He also wore a pair of black and white golfing shoes.

“I think it’s a deal that we’ll get the hostages back, it’s going to be a deal that will end the war…it’s going to be peace,” President Trump continued.

While no more information has been provided yet on this point, a pending peace deal in the Middle East has been a large part of the Trump administration’s focus since January.

On Thursday, President Trump alluded to an upcoming deal that might bring peace between Israel and its enemies.

“I think we’re going to be in a pretty good position – there are a lot of people that want that done,” he said.

As far as hostages, President Trump said yesterday that there were “about 20 living hostages” being held by Hamas, as well as “38 or so” who were deceased.

Before departing, Trump also addressed the recent indictment of former FBI Director James Comey.

“These were corrupt, radical-left Democrats…they weaponized the Justice Department like nobody in history, what they’ve done is terrible,” President Trump said.

In terms of Comey’s indictment, Trump suggested that the former director thought he was above the law.

“The only thing that happened to him – he didn’t think he’d get caught,” the president remarked.
