Rand Paul proposes 5 years of JAIL time for Dr. Fauci

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., on Thursday called for Dr. Fauci to be imprisoned for five years after “lying” to Congress over his department’s involvement in funding gain of functions research.

Joining “Mornings with Maria” on Fox Business, Paul told Maria Bartiromo he feels that the disgraced doctor who has been the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, should be put in jail for “lying” to Congress. He told her that he “doesn’t have a lot of hope” on the subject, saying that he doubts Biden’s Attorney General Merrick Garland would be interested in taking up the issue in an objective manner.

“We’ve referred him to the Department of Justice, but then again, Merrick Garland is the one now going after parents that go to school board meetings, so I don’t have a lot of hope that Merrick Garland is objectively looking at Fauci’s lying,” Paul noted.

“But Fauci should go to prison for five years for lying to Congress. They have prosecuted other people. They have selectively gone after Republicans, but in no way will they do anything about him lying. But he should be prosecuted for lying.”

Although Fauci’s repeated denials, the National Institute of Health has confirmed that they were involved in funding the bat-coronavirus study in the Wuhan Lab in China.

Gain-of-function research consists of taking viruses from animals before they can be genetically modified in order to make humans more susceptible to the disease.

Testifying before Congress, Dr. Fauci claimed that there was no funding of the research occurring.

“I think he cost people lives through misinformation. Every time he tells people, ‘Oh, wear a cloth mask,’ he is actually endangering people. If you are around someone with COVID, you don’t want to wear a mask because they don’t work,” Paul said.
