Rep. Mo Brooks: ‘Someone needs to go to jail’ over report that Clinton spied on Trump

by Timothy Frudd

Rep. Mo Brooks, R-Ala., released a statement Saturday demanding justice for the American people after the Durham report indicated the Clinton campaign spied on the 45th President of the United States.

Mo Brooks, who is running for a U.S. Senate seat in Alabama, responded to the latest news from the Durham report, saying, “Donald Trump was right.” He added, “The Clinton campaign and Big Tech spied on both candidate and President Trump.”

Calling for accountability, Brooks concluded, “The American people deserve justice. Someone needs to go to jail.”

Trump explained what would happen if the roles were reversed and he was caught spying on a Democrat president, saying, “Can you imagine if the roles were reversed and the Republicans, in particular President Donald Trump, got caught illegally spying into the Office of the President? All hell would break loose and the electric chair would immediately come out of retirement.”

According to a filing by Special Counsel John Durham, Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign employed a technology firm to “infiltrate” both Trump Tower and White House servers in their efforts to link President Trump with Russia.

Durham’s latest filing states, “Beginning in approximately July 2016, Tech Executive-1 had worked with the defendant, a U.S. investigative firm retained by Law Firm-1 on behalf of the Clinton Campaign, numerous cyber researchers, and employees at multiple Internet companies to assemble the purported data and white papers.”

President Trump stated, “What Hillary Clinton and the Radical Left Democrats did with respect to spying on a President of the United States, even while in office, is a far bigger crime that Watergate.”

Most Americans appear to support an investigation into Hillary Clinton’s role in the Russian collusion hoax. According to a report by Breitbart, a new poll conducted by TechnoMetrica Institute of Policy and Politics found that even 66 percent of Democrats think Hillary Clinton should be investigated based on Durham’s findings.

As the truth of the Russian collusion hoax continues to be revealed by Durham’s investigation, Republican leaders like Mo Brooks continue to push for those responsible to be held fully accountable for their actions against the 45th president.
