Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., has proven to be a staunch ally to President Donald Trump as he is facing countless legal attacks in the court systems across the country.

In a new op-ed that she penned for Newsweek, Rep. Stefanik scorched the Democrats’ “lawfare” strategy aimed at taking Trump out of the 2024 presidential race.

She wrote, “The Left has chosen lawfare because winning in the marketplace of ideas at the ballot box clearly isn’t suitable for today’s Democratic Party, which seems to support limitless illegal immigration, inflationary tax and spend policies, and the unconstitutional silencing of opposing voices.”

The congresswoman slammed Democrats for “egregious and norm-shattering lawfare” that they have lobbed at President Trump, noting the unprecedented persecution that began with the FBI’s raid on Trump’s private home, Mar-a-Lago, in 2022.

Stefanik continued, “He has faced indictments in two separate federal jurisdictions from the Biden administration and received indictments in two local jurisdictions from Democrat District Attorneys. Additionally, the Democrat New York Attorney General, who specifically campaigned with a focus on targeting Trump, filed a civil lawsuit against him.”

Calling the lawfare “Pandora’s box,” she explained that it had “irreparably” harmed “the fabric of America” by setting a new precedent greenlighting the attack of rivals by leveraging the power of the “reigning political party.”

She also eviscerated the multiple court attacks against Trump, including the “Soros-funded” case in New York brought by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, as well as the ongoing civil fraud lawsuit spearheaded by New York State Attorney General Letitia James. “Attorney General James’ case doesn’t even have a victim,” Rep. Stefanik argued.

In the civil suit case, Stefanik further pointed out that she had filed an ethics complaint against the presiding judge on the case, Arthur Engoron. As reported by RSBN, she recently supplemented her initial ethics complaint with “examples of even more of his egregious misconduct after he just wrongfully dismissed President Trump’s motion for a mistrial.”

As a whole, Rep. Stefanik argued that the multiple cases Trump is facing in several venues “amount to an unprecedented attack on an American politician.”

“This lawfare only stops when Americans hold their government officials accountable for their actions through voting, which is always the most valuable tool in defending democracy,” she stated.
