Republicans lead by double digits in their bid to reclaim Congress

As the country heads into the midterm election cycle, a recent poll suggests Republicans are leading by 11 points in the race to reclaim Congress.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey revealed that 50 percent of likely U.S. voters would cast their ballot for the Republican candidate if midterms were held today.

On the contrary, Democrats would only secure support from 39 percent of voters. Five percent would vote for another candidate, and seven percent are unsure.

The recent gas price spike and record-high inflation under the current administration are crucial issues in the midterm elections.

Furthermore, the issue of election integrity is set to dominate the elections after most voters believe cheating tainted the 2020 election.

More than a year later, numerous states continued to investigate voter irregularities after the 2020 election.

Earlier this month, Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Robin Vos disclosed he believes election fraud tainted the outcome of the 2020 presidential election, following an extensive investigation by former Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Michael Gableman.

Moreover, other states like Georgia have taken significant measures to protect election integrity.

Last week, the Georgia House of Representatives passed a bill banning Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg from interfering with state elections after it was discovered that Zuckerberg donated millions to fund local government election offices.

The Peach State follows a similar lead by the Virginia Assembly after advancing legislation prohibiting private individuals from funding state elections this month.
