Media bias was on full display during Tuesday night’s presidential debate. Americans watched as the moderators “fact-checked” President Donald Trump while allowing multiple claims from Vice President Kamala Harris to go unquestioned.

Trump was also pressed when the moderators were unsatisfied with his response. Harris was given a pass on the first question when she failed to answer how Americans are better off now than they were during Trump’s presidency.

Republicans and conservative commentators called out the disproportionate treatment in real-time, with many slamming the media for interfering.

In a post on X, former presidential candidate and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy wrote, “This is an interesting debate format: 3-on-1.”

In a follow-up post, Ramaswamy remarked, “The illusion of the one-sided “fact check.”

Trump 2024 Nation Campaign Surrogate Harrison Fields pointed out an important fact about undecided voters. “Do you know who HATES media bias just as much as Republicans? Independents! Tonight, Independent voters have seen the worst of media bias and they won’t take it lightly.”

Collin Rugg, co-owner of Trending Politics, also criticized the moderators for the lack of fact-checks on Harris and the false fact-checks on Trump. He posted a list of the “Top 5 lies” from Harris that were allowed to fly.

The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway quipped, “If she doesn’t get fact-checked for her lies about Charlottesville and ‘fine people’, ABC should be shut down.” The moderators failed to pushback on Harris’s claim.

Fox News contributor Joe Concha was appalled at the apparent bias, writing, “ABC News moderators not pressing back on Kamala’s mistruths whatsoever. What a joke.”

Donald Trump Jr. blasted the debacle, writing, “Weird how the hack moderators at ABC News are only ‘Fact checking’ Trump and allowing Kamala to lie nonstop. The Fake News is the enemy of the people!”

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., held nothing back when she wrote, “This is ABSOLUTELY disgraceful by ABC. These moderators are members of the Harris campaign. Kamala lies and lies, but they don’t correct her. An absolute attack on Trump.”

Despite the obvious favoritism given by the moderators, most post-debate polls on X, notably one from CSPAN, show that Trump prevailed.
