For nearly one week, Los Angeles has been plagued by riots, violence, and looting tearing through the city in response to the recent U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations to deport illegal migrants.

As city officials, including Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom and Mayor Karen Bass, reportedly shrugged off these riots, as RSBN previously reported, President Donald Trump authorized federal law enforcement to restore order.

Despite Democrat officials largely criticizing the president, new polling shows that the majority of Americans support his decision to deploy the National Guard.

RMG Research polling reported that 52 percent of Americans either “strongly” or “somewhat” support President Trump’s actions to quell the protests, while 42 percent were against the decision.

Even more decisively, the survey reported that 58 percent of Americans supported the Trump administration’s efforts to deport illegal migrants, and just 37 percent opposed these actions.

President Trump has blamed Gov. Newsom for failing to stop the violence or even prevent law enforcement from getting injured by rioters.

President Trump previously stated that the National Guard would remain in the city “until there’s no danger,” RSBN wrote.

“If we didn’t get involved, right now Los Angeles would be burning just like it was burning a number of months ago with all the houses that were being lost,” Trump said earlier this week.
