From humble beginnings to becoming the Vice President of the United States, Speaker Mike Johnson captured the special moment of JD Vance walking into the Oval Office for the first time with President Donald Trump.

Speaker Johnson wrote on X, “Only in America can a hardworking young man from Appalachia rise from his humble circumstances to enter the Oval for [the] first time as VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. What a country!”

The vice president came from growing up in poverty and hardship with a mother addicted to drugs in the Appalachia mountains to joining the military as a Marine, and now he is Vice President of the United States.

Vance is an example of the epitome of the American dream. He overcame adversity through intelligence, talent, and determination. It is refreshing to witness Vance being the living proof that anyone in America can ascend to greatness through hard work.
