Trump reportedly orders federal health agencies to pause external communications in temporary ‘blackout’

President Donald Trump has reportedly ordered federal health agencies like the FDA and CDC to pause external communications, halting the publication of scientific reports and website updates, according to sources at The Washington Post.

According to the Daily Mail, the communications blackout was given by Stefanie Spear, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s former press secretary during his presidential campaign. Spear now serves at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as a deputy chief of staff, the outlet reported.

Federal health agencies have received much scrutiny since the onset of the Covid pandemic, thanks to chaotic response advisories, strict lockdown measures, and harsh vaccine programs aimed at cultivating forced compliance from the American people.

Kennedy is set to face a confirmation hearing in the Senate soon as the nominee for the next secretary of the HHS. He has made it his mission to eliminate what he calls the “chronic disease epidemic” and has promised to “Make America Healthy Again” as the next health secretary, if confirmed.

Wednesday’s blackout at federal health agencies directly reflects President Trump’s Agenda47 promise to root out corruption on the federal level.

In a stirring speech at a Trump campaign rally at Madison Square Garden just before the presidential election last year, Kennedy told an audience of thousands, “Don’t you want a president who’s going to end the corruption at the federal agencies? At FDA, at NIH, at CDC, and at the CIA? And don’t you want a president who’s going to make America healthy again?”

In President Trump’s inaugural address, he homed in specifically on public health agencies, offering a brief but succinct criticism of their current operations. “We have a public health system that does not deliver in times of disaster, yet more money is spent on it than any country anywhere in the world,” he said.

It is unclear how long the reported pause in communications at the federal level will last for America’s health agencies.
