Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick celebrated a major border wall victory on Christmas Day.
He posted to X on Wednesday, stating, “Even on Christmas Day, the President and Texas are working to secure the border.”
He then shared a text he sent President Donald Trump, noting, that Trump’s “strong stance on stopping the sale” of border wall materials likely prevented about 8,000 border wall panels from being sold.
“The wall panels were pulled from the auction the day before the scheduled sale,” the text went on. “The auctioneer told our team he would not do anything with them until after your inauguration. We are keeping an eye on it to be sure they don’t.”
Patrick reaffirmed his support for the border wall and praised President Trump for his commitment to resecuring the border.
On Dec. 17, the office of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton released a report claiming that the Biden administration was allegedly auctioning off border wall materials for as low as $5.
President Trump then filed an Amicus Brief to stop the Biden administration’s attempted sale of border wall materials, per RSBN.
Top Trump Spokesman, Steven Cheung, discussed the legal move noting, “Any attempt by Biden officials to obstruct President Trump’s plan to build the Border Wall is unlawful, unconstitutional, and possibly criminal, as our brief argues.”
