President Donald Trump’s campaign has turned Vice President Kamala Harris’ recent controversial remarks about Christians into its latest ad, claiming “the difference is clear.”
The new video played the vice president’s response to students shouting support for Jesus, contrasting it with Trump’s embrace of Christians.
“Christ is king! Jesus is Lord!” students shouted.
“You guys are at the wrong rally,” Harris responded, smiling and waving as the students were removed.
“I think you meant to go to the smaller one down the street,” she added.
“Do you mind if I pray for you?” a supporter asked Trump in the next scene.
“Father, I thank you for this man that you have raised up in this moment, in this season, for your purposes. And I pray that you would anoint him, that things aren’t done just by might or by power, but by your Spirit,” a man prayed for Trump.
In an event with Christian leaders this week, Trump also pointed out his warm embrace of believers.
“While Kamala says that people who believe in Jesus don’t belong at her rallies… in our movement, we love Christians, we welcome believers, and we embrace followers of Jesus,” Trump said.
As RSBN previously reported, Trump also encouraged Christians to vote.
“At Trump rallies, we don’t tell Christians to get lost. We tell Christians to GET OUT and VOTE!” he added.
In a strong response against social concerns of importance to evangelicals, Trump pledged to stop schools from promoting CRT (critical race theory), transgender athletes in girls’ sports and radical gender ideology.
“On day one I will sign an executive order banning schools from promoting critical race theory or transgender insanity. I will take historic action to defeat the toxic poison of gender ideology and reaffirm that God created two genders, male and female,” Trump said to roaring applause.
“I will keep men out of women’s sports. I will sign a law banning child sexual mutilation in all 50 states, won’t happen anymore. And we will proudly say, ‘Merry Christmas’ again,” he added.
Rev. Franklin Graham, CEO of Samaritans Purse and leader of the Billy Graham Evangelist Association, prayed at the event.
“Rallies and positive poll numbers are not gonna win this election. It’s gonna be GOD,” he told the audience before his prayer.
