President Donald Trump has reshaped America’s political landscape. In doing so, he has swiftly toppled decades of political aristocracy in the United States and handed power back to the people.
In August, Turning Point USA President Charlie Kirk stated on Twitter that, “After 55 years, January 20th, 2023 will mark the first time since 1967 that no members of the Cheney, Clinton, McCain, or Bush family will hold elected or appointed office in the federal government of the United States of America.”
Draining the Swamp
Since President Trump left office in January 2021, he has thrown the full brunt of his political power behind a diverse slate of America First candidates who are poised to take aim at a radical leftist agenda in November 2022 if the GOP takes back a congressional majority.
A dynasty of political elites, like Hillary Clinton and Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., have been ousted as this new wave of conservatism sweeps across the U.S., exposing “RINO” Republicans and showing the door to Democrat politicians whose approval ratings have tanked catastrophically in the last two years.
According to a report from the Washington Post, 94 percent of Trump’s endorsed candidates have won their primaries so far in 2022. Furthermore, out of 39 endorsed candidates for open seats, only three of his picks have failed to claim victory.
In Arizona’s recent GOP gubernatorial primary election, Trump-endorsed political outsider and former broadcast journalist Kari Lake soared to victory to claim the party nomination, winning every single county in the state.
“We drove a stake through the heart of the McCain machine,” she told supporters during a speech delivered at CPAC in Dallas, Texas.
Trump’s endorsement picks and their subsequent successes signals a breach of trust between voters and the “old” Republican Party. This old party gave Americans entrenched establishment figures like “RINO” Rep. Liz Cheney, who voted to impeach President Trump and who shamelessly held a seat on the partisan Jan. 6 Committee investigating the media-labeled “insurrection” of 2021.
The old guard of the GOP served up candidates for president like the late Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah. Neither former presidential candidates had a chance of winning against hotshot Democrat opponents like Barack Obama.
And then came Trump.
The Fall of the Old GOP
Quick-witted, outspoken, and unflinchingly honest, Trump’s appearance onto the national stage of politics in 2015 shook up the GOP and illustrated a new approach to dealing with the corruption of Washington D.C. and the political “swamp.”
In 2016, Trump ran on the campaign promise to “Make America Great Again,” and he ran for reelection in 2020 to keep it great. Now, President Trump holds “Save America” rallies around the country, carefully moving select America First candidates into place and razing an era of political soft-shoeing and nicety to the ground.
Trump, to many Americans, is the voice of the people. He made promises in 2016 when he ran for president, and he kept them.
“I stood up to America’s bureaucratic corruption, I restored power to the people, and truly delivered for our Country, like we have never seen before,” Trump wrote powerfully in a statement made through his Save America PAC.
He continued, “The establishment hated it. Now, as they watch my endorsed candidates win big victories, and see my dominance in all polls, they are trying to stop me, and the Republican Party, once more. The lawlessness, political persecution, and Witch Hunt must be exposed and stopped.”
Fighting the Good Fight
Trump’s no-holds-barred approach to taking on the Washington swamp opened the eyes of the American people to the political corruption within their own borders. As Americans take this knowledge with them to the polls in November’s general midterm election races, they are doing so with a clarity that perhaps has not been seen in this country for many years.
“I will continue to fight for the Great American People!” Trump wrote in his statement.
And Americans, who choose to vote for America First candidates across the board, will be fighting that same fight alongside the 45th president at the ballot box this November.
