Under President Donald Trump’s leadership, the Kennedy Center is highlighting the reason for the season this Christmas with a show that is sure to make Americans of faith smile.
In December, the arts center will feature a “spectacular” holiday concert, “Noel: Jesus is Born!”
The musical celebration boasts Charles Billingsley (Christian singer, worship leader, and pastor) and Matthew West (Grammy-nominated contemporary Christian singer-songwriter) as its highlighted performers.
The show focuses on the story of Christmas and will include “cherished carols and timeless classics” that will draw the audience deeper into the origins of Christmas: the birth of the Messiah, Jesus Christ.
“We are proud to present a meaningful, faith-filled experience for families to immerse themselves in the Christmas story at America’s cultural center,” said Roma Daravai, Kennedy Center Vice President of Public Relations, per The Christian Post.
Ric Grenell, a longtime Trump ally and the interim president of the Kennedy Center, highlighted the faith-based musical celebration coming up next month.
He wrote on X, “Last February, the @nytimes mocked our stated goal to bring Christ back to Christmas. Today, the Kennedy Center’s December programming is celebrating Christ’s birth and the Christmas Season all month long.”
President Donald Trump appointed Grenell as interim director in February. Earlier this year, the Kennedy Center Board also elected President Trump as the Board Chair, replacing former chair David M. Rubenstein. First Lady Melania Trump is an honorary chair.
“Blending vibrant music, beautiful pageantry, and memorable moments of worship, the spectacle offers something for the whole family,” the Kennedy Center’s program noted of the upcoming faith-based musical celebration.
Tickets for “Noel: Jesus is Born!” – scheduled for December 17 – are refreshingly affordable, ranging from $29 to $100.
