President Trump blasted the Biden-Harris administration for its weaponization of the Department of Justice (DOJ) and a Biden-appointed Virginia federal judge after she ordered the commonwealth to return recently removed non-citizens back to its voter rolls.

The Biden-Harris DOJ sued the Commonwealth of Virginia, the Virginia State Board of Elections and the Virginia Commissioner of Elections on Oct. 11, alleging that the removal of registered voters within 90 days of a federal election violated the National Voter Registration Act of 1993.

In a Friday Truth Social post, the 45th president wrote, “Sleepy Joe Biden and Comrade Kamala Harris ridiculously accuse me of wanting to ‘weaponize’ the Justice Department, when they have done all of the weaponizing. Now, their truly Weaponized Department of ‘Injustice,’ and a Judge (appointed by Joe), have ORDERED the Great Commonwealth of Virginia to PUT NON-CITIZEN VOTERS BACK ON THE ROLLS.”

Trump continued, “This is a totally unacceptable travesty, and Governor Youngkin is absolutely right to appeal this ILLEGAL ORDER, and the U.S. Supreme Court will hopefully fix it! Only U.S. Citizens should be allowed to vote. Keep fighting, Glenn – AND REPUBLICANS IN VIRGINIA, KEEP VOTING EARLY!”

He concluded his post with, “I will be calling in to Glenn’s Rally with Lara Trump tomorrow morning to talk about this crazy Ruling, and announce my final stop in Virginia before Election Day. TUNE IN!”

In the Friday ruling, U.S. District Judge Patricia Tolliver Giles said that removing the 1,600 registered voters from the rolls violated federal law, according to a report from WRIC.

Following the ruling, Virginia Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin wrote in a statement, “Let’s be clear about what just happened: only eleven days before a Presidential election, a federal judge ordered Virginia to reinstate over 1,500 individuals–who self-identified themselves as noncitizens–back onto the voter rolls.”

Youngkin continued, “Almost all these individuals had previously presented immigration documents confirming their noncitizen status, a fact recently verified by federal authorities.”

Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares weighed in on the ruling in a post on X, formerly Twitter.

“It should never be illegal to remove an illegal voter. Yet, today a Court – urged by the Biden-Harris Department of Justice – ordered Virginia to put the names of non-citizens back on the voter rolls, mere days before a presidential election,” Miyares wrote.

He then slammed the DOJ for bringing the lawsuit less than a month before the presidential election. “The Department of Justice pulled this shameful, politically motivated stunt 25 days before Election Day, challenging a Virginia process signed into law 18 years ago by a Democrat governor and approved by the Department of Justice in 2006.”

Miyares encouraged Virginians to make their voices heard with their votes, despite the DOJ lawfare and promised that he would “never stop fighting to preserve the integrity” of the commonwealth’s election process. He also made clear that he would be appealing the ruling, “all the way to the Supreme Court, if necessary.”
