President Trump urged Georgians to get to the polls this week and vote for U.S. Senate nominee Herschel Walker as the anticipated Senate runoff election comes to a close on Tuesday.
“To the Great State of Georgia, Get Out and Vote for the WONDERFUL Herschel Walker TOMORROW,” the president wrote on Monday. “Herschel was a fantastic Athlete, and he will be an even greater United States Senator! To all MAGA Voters, that is, people that want to Make America Great Again and Put America First, tomorrow is a big day. Vote for Herschel!”
President Trump added on Tuesday morning, “IMPORTANT: Tomorrow has become TODAY. To the Great State of Georgia, VOTE TODAY FOR HERSCHEL, he will never let you down!”
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., also urged Georgians to flood the polls on Tuesday, recognizing the importance of Walker’s race for the GOP. “Polls are OPEN, Georgia!” she wrote on Truth Social. “Get out and vote and send Herschel Walker to the United States Senate. This seat is SO important. I need real America First patriots like Herschel to join me in Washington, D.C.”
Arizona Republican nominee for governor, Kari Lake, joined the encouraging chorus on Tuesday. “Georgia, get out and VOTE for @HerschelWalker today!” she stated on social media.
According to a report from The American Spectator, the Georgia Senate runoff election has seemed to favor Walker in terms of early voting. The outlet reported: “A recent poll commissioned by AARP, found that voters over 50 favor him by 9 percent. That means 1.32 million of the 1.87 million early ballots were cast by voters who tend to prefer Walker to Warnock.”
Walker is facing off against incumbent Democrat Sen. Raphael Warnock. As reported by RSBN, Walker’s campaign hit a high note following the midterms, garnering $11 million in fundraising in the week after Election Day and headed into the runoff.
