In a fiery Truth Social post, President Donald Trump asserted that elections plagued with voter irregularities and fraud should be “REDONE,” adding that Americans want leaders who “LEGITIMATELY” win elections, not candidates who cheat.
“SIMPLY PUT, IF AN ELECTION IS IRREFUTABLY FRAUDULENT, IT SHOULD GO TO THE RIGHTFUL WINNER OR, AT A MINIMUM, BE REDONE,” the president wrote on Truth Social Monday. “WHERE OPEN AND BLATANT FRAUD IS INVOLVED, THERE SHOULD BE NO TIME LIMIT FOR CHANGE!”
In a second post, Trump attested that the American voters want “PEOPLE WHO ‘LEGITIMATELY’ WON THE ELECTION TO LEAD OUR COUNTRY, NOT PEOPLE WHO HAD TO CHEAT IN ORDER TO WIN!!!”
President Trump’s comments come as Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake kick-starts legal challenges over Arizona’s 2022 midterm election, which was rippled with voter disenfranchisement and tabulation issues.
After acting Secretary of State Katie Hobbs certified the dubious results of her own election on Monday, Lake’s campaign announced that legal challenges would commence following the certification, per RSBN.
Responding to a Friday press release announcing that the certification of the election would occur the following Monday, with Gov. Doug Ducey and Attorney General Mark Brnovich in attendance, Lake’s campaign tweeted: “How our Governor and Attorney General can certify this election after everything that has come to light boggles our minds.”
“How it’s acceptable for @katiehobbs to sign off on her own corrupt process is beyond the pale,” the Kari Lake War Room Twitter account said.
The campaign announced legal challenges would “begin after certification,” calling it a crime to “certify a fraudulent election.”
Lake’s campaign is not the only entity taking aim at the state’s horribly-run election cycle.
According to the RSBN, former Arizona U.S. congressional candidate Josh Barnett filed a lawsuit highlighting voting anomalies, such as an “abnormal increase of inactive voter list in run-up to the November 8 Election.”
