President Donald Trump announced Friday that at his direction, the United States Air Force will produce a brand-new sixth-generation fighter jet, astutely named the F-47, which will place America at the cutting edge of aerospace technology and sky dominance.

The president announced this development in the Oval Office, where he was joined by Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, along with Air Force Chief of Staff David Allvin and Air Force Lieutenant General Dale White.

“At my direction, the United States Air Force is moving forward with the world’s first sixth-generation fighter jet…nothing in the world comes even close to it and it will be known as the F-47, the general’s picked the title…it’s a beautiful title,” Trump announced.

The president called the news very “exciting” and described this new jet as “the most advanced, most capable, most lethal aircraft ever built.” He also revealed that an “experimental version of the plane has been secretly flying for almost five years.”

Additionally, Trump told the press which aerospace manufacturer had won the contract to produce the jet.

“After a rigorous and thorough between some of America’s top aerospace companies the Air Force is going to be awarding the contract for the Next Generation Air Dominance platform to Boeing,” he said.

According to Trump, the aircraft is equipped with lighting-fast speed, superior maneuverability, and top-tier stealth technology. The jet also represents new technology in that it flies with drones, the president said.

“America’s enemies will never see it coming,” he remarked.

He said most of the essential elements of the jets had already been built, and he expected the jet to fly during his administration.

“The United States of America will continue to dominate the skies,” he said, but he declined to share the price tag for reasons of national security.

“This contract also represents a historic investment in our defense industrial base, helping to keep America on the cutting edge of aerospace and technology,” Trump said.

The president also invited Secretary Hegseth to chime in with his remarks on the big announcement.

Hegseth said, “This is a big day, this is a big day for our war fighters, this is a big day for our country, this is a big day in the world. The name of this program is the Next Generation of Air Dominance. Mr. President, because of your leadership, your clarity, America is going to have generations in the future of air dominance because of this sixth-generation fighter.”

The secretary said this was a “gift” to future generations in terms of defense and represented a “historic investment in the American military.”

He praised the F-47, “which sends a very direct, clear message to our allies that we’re not going anywhere and to our enemies that we will be able to project power around the world unimpeded for generations to come.”

Hegseth predicted that this new tech would help “revive the warrior ethos inside our military” and noted that the military would also work to reestablish deterrence measures.

“Under the previous administration, we looked like fools,” Hegseth remarked. “Not anymore…Mr. President, thank you for having the courage to do it and leading the way for all our warfighters.”
