President Donald Trump announced on Monday that he will be giving live commentary during Tuesday night’s vice-presidential debate between Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, and Minnesota Democratic Gov. Tim Walz.

“I will be doing a personal PLAY BY PLAY of the Debate tomorrow between the Brilliant J.D. Vance and the Highly Inarticulate ‘Tampon’ Tim Walz. I hope that Cognitively Challenged, Lyin’ Kamala Harris, will be listening so that she can again show the World how she will make up false facts and stories in order to change around an administrative FAILURE! In any event, I will be commenting on what is going on. Watch TRUTH SOCIAL tomorrow night!” he wrote on Truth Social.

CBS News will host the 90-minute debate at the CBS Broadcast Center in New York. The head-to-head matchup will begin at 9 p.m. Eastern Time and will be moderated by CBS “Evening News” anchor Norah O’Donnell and “Face the Nation” moderator Margaret Brennan.

Viewers can watch the event on CBS, live stream the event online or watch live via multiple networks.

Like the presidential debate, there will be no live audience, and the candidates will stand in front of a lectern with no props or pre-written notes, according to Reuters. The candidates’ microphones can be muted at any time by the moderators.

Trump campaign press secretary Karoline Leavitt appeared on Fox News Monday morning to discuss the upcoming debate.

Leavitt told the hosts, “We are so excited about JD being on that stage tomorrow night. He is well prepared. He’s done more than 100 interviews since becoming the vice presidential nominee. Sharp contrast to Tim Walz, who has done one major network sit down… It’s a big night for Governor Walz. He’s going to have to answer for Kamala Harris’s dangerously liberal record, dating all the way back to her time as a District Attorney from San Francisco.”

While visiting Georgia to observe the damage from Hurricane Helene on Monday, Trump told reporters, “I think JD Vance is going to do great. He’s a very smart guy. He’s done a great job. People like him a lot. He’s against Tampon Tim, who I don’t think should have ever been chosen. He’s not qualified. But JD is a very smart guy, as everybody knows, I think he’s gonna do great.”
