Trump appoints Charlie Kirk, Michael Flynn and other conservatives to military boards

President Donald Trump announced the appointment of several conservative leaders to military boards on Monday, including Turning Point USA’s Charlie Kirk and Michael Flynn.

Trump shared the updates in a series of posts on his Truth Social account late Monday.

“I am pleased to announce a new Board of Visitors for our Nation’s oldest Military Academy, West Point. Major General David Bellavia, Lieutenant General Dan Walrath, General Michael Flynn, Congressman Wesley Hunt, Maureen Bannon, and Meghan Mobbs are hereby appointed to the Board. They will make our Country proud. Congratulations to all!” the president wrote concerning board leaders of West Point.

Appointments to the Naval Academy included former Trump administration leader Sean Spicer.

“Completing my list of appointments to the United States Naval Academy, I am happy to announce that the full Board will consist of Sean Spicer, Walt Nauta, Congressman “Doc Ronnie” Jackson, Congressman Derek Van Order, Senator Tim Sheehy, and Earl Ehrhart,” Trump wrote.

Sen. Sheehy posted his response to the appointment on X.

“A great honor, thank you President @realDonaldTrump! I stand ready to deliver and lead with the highest ideals of duty, honor, and loyalty. Together we will make America strong again!” he wrote.

Charlie Kirk was named among several leaders to the Air Force Academy board.

“Our Great United States Air Force Academy will soon have an incredible Board of Visitors, composed of Doug Nikolai, Dan Clark, Senator Tommy Tuberville, Charlie Kirk, and Dina Powell. Congratulations to all!” Trump stated.

Kirk responded with a post to X thanking the president.

“Thank you, Mr. President,” he posted. “The American people deserve service academies with exactly one focus: Recruiting and developing the best cadets possible to protect this country and her liberties. I am honored to have the chance to assist President Trump in executing this mission.”

In addition to numerous military board appointments, Trump also announced the nomination of Bryan Bedford as administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration on Monday.

“I am pleased to announce the nomination of Bryan Bedford to serve as Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). As the former President and CEO of Republic Airways, Mesaba Airlines, and Business Express Airlines, Brian brings over three decades of experience in Aviation and Executive Leadership to this critical position. Bryan will work with our GREAT Secretary of Transportation, Sean Duffy, to strongly reform the Agency, safeguard our exports, and ensure the safety of nearly one billion annual passenger movements. Congratulations Bryan!” he wrote.
