President Donald J. Trump boldly called out the political weaponization of the “thugs and tyrants” attacking the Save America movement during remarks delivered on Saturday night in Youngstown, Ohio. “The thugs and tyrants attacking our movement…have no idea of the sleeping giant that they have awoken,” he said.

Trump’s comments drew cheers and support from the packed house of supporters, who jumped to their feet and applauded the sentiment.

The 45th president told an excited audience, “They want to censor you from the internet, banish you from the public square, get you fired from your jobs – target you for destruction with 87,000 new IRS agents.” He added, “We’ve been fighting that, we’ve been fighting them.”

Trump’s comments come on the heels of news that the IRS is hiring 87,000 new agents, a move that drew criticism from many Americans who cautiously fear that the agents could be weaponized as an enforcement arm of an increasingly tyrannical federal government.

Trump’s appearance in Ohio ahead of November’s midterm elections primarily stumped for the support of the entire Trump-endorsed ticket in the Buckeye State. Trump touched on Joe Biden’s failing and “outrageous persecution of the MAGA movement.”

“Our cruel and vindictive political class is not just coming after me, they’re coming after you THROUGH me,” he pointed out.

Trump also told rallygoers that although conservatives in America are being attacked like never before, the “American people would never accept” the tyranny of Biden’s administration.

“They’ve already taken away your vote, they’ve taken away your voice, and now they want to take away your freedom,” he said. “…It’s not gonna happen, by the way.”
