Palestinians cheer for President Trump-backed aid that has distributed millions of meals without any incidents.

Breitbart reported that on Thursday, the U.S. and Israel-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) reopened after being shut down when Hamas terrorists fired at Palestinian citizens trying to reach the GHF site. While soldiers from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) secured the sites to provide safe access, the site had to be closed for a day to improve security.

According to CNN, for three straight days, the area of the aid distribution site was under fire, and on Tuesday, the day before the site closed, nearly 30 people were killed. GHF reiterated that the violence was not at the sites but along the routes that approach the sites.

Upon reopening on Thursday, millions of meals were delivered without a hitch. Video clips have been going viral on social media showing Palestinians cheering for President Trump and America. In one clip, Palestinians shouted “Trump! Trump! Trump!” in unison.

In a statement that Breitbart shared, GHF director John Acree revealed that “GHF is proud that almost 8.5 million meals have been delivered so far – without incident.” Just on Thursday, GHF said that it had distributed over 1.4 million meals across two sites, explaining, “This brings the total number of meals distributed to-date to approximately 8,480,902 via roughly 132,480 boxes.”

As the sole reliable provider of humanitarian assistance in Gaza, GHF prioritizes the safety of Palestinians and the timely delivery of food. Acree also said, “Over the past 24 hours, we have been fully focused on strengthening our distribution sites to ensure safe and more efficient delivery of lifesaving aid to the people of Gaza.” These enhancements include site maintenance and repairs.

Newly appointed GHF director, Rev. Johnnie Moore, sees a promising future for the organization, and according to CNN, has promised to expand the distribution effort in Gaza. On Tuesday, the organization revealed, “We remain focused on one thing: getting food to the people who need it most. And right now, we are the only organization doing that at scale, with consistency and safety.”
