President Donald Trump took part in a special roundtable with the National Fraternal Order of Police – the nation’s largest law enforcement organization in the United States – and thanked them for their sacrifice and bravery, as well as their endorsement of his “One Big Beautiful Bill.”

“Your members are the backbone of American law enforcement and we are deeply grateful for your service,” President Trump said warmly.

He was joined by U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi and National Fraternal Order of Police President Patrick Yoes.

“I’m also deeply grateful to the National Fraternal Order of Police for its resounding endorsement of the One Big Beautiful Bill which is moving along very nicely, [we have] great support,” Trump said.

The order strongly endorsed President Trump during his 2024 campaign, marking the third time they had endorsed his candidacy. Now, they have thrown their support behind this crucial legislation.

President Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” has been met with some opposition, but his administration has made it clear that they support its passage so that integral items like tax cuts and border security are facilitated for the American people.

“It’s going to cut costs and expenses by $1.6 trillion which is the biggest cut and expenses ever,” Trump said.

During the roundtable, NFOP President Patrick Yoes thanked President Trump for following through on his campaign promise to address taxation on overtime wages.

“You made a promise that you were going to address overtime,” he said. “…The people who are working right now are working so many hours, and are forced to work overtime…not only that, they’re not getting to keep the money they earn.”

President Trump’s bill aims to eliminate taxes on overtime, as well as taxes on tips.

“We are proud to support the bill,” Yoes added.
