Last night, during the State of the Union Address in Washington, D.C., Biden claimed, “We capped the cost of insulin at $35 a month for seniors on Medicare.” But President Trump was quick to respond during his real-time Truth Social analysis, “I’m the one that did the great job on Insulin pricing, the Dems just got the benefit of that success. It was passed on to them, and now they brag about it.”

According to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, President Trump worked to lower copays and offer affordable fixed pricing for insulin costs back in 2020. This was projected to offer savings of 66 percent for Americans in need.

Despite Biden’s claims that his administration has lowered insulin prices, one of his first acts in office in January of 2021 was to freeze the Trump initiative. The plan was set to go into effect that month but was delayed due to orders to halt legislation passed before Trump left office, per Fox News.

MSN defended Biden for this move, claiming that Trump’s plan “would not have helped most diabetics.”

Now, Biden is not only expressing his concern over the cost of insulin, but he has accepted false responsibility for capping those prices as if it were his own doing.

Trump not only decried this claim, defending his work, but offered harsh criticisms throughout the speech, and his video response was broadcast via RSBN
