President Donald Trump spoke out against “woke” policies in U.S. military schools on Monday, calling for the immediate dismissal of the board of visitors at the military branches.

The president shared the criticisms in a post to his Truth Social account on Monday.

“Our Service Academies have been infiltrated by Woke Leftist Ideologues over the last four years. I have ordered the immediate dismissal of the Board of Visitors for the Army, Air Force, Navy, and Coast Guard,” Trump wrote.

“We will have the strongest Military in History, and that begins by appointing new individuals to these Boards. We must make the Military Academies GREAT AGAIN!” he added.

The words follow similar words from new Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

“We need more uniformed members going back into West Point, the Air Force Academy, the Naval Academy as a tour to teach with their wisdom of what they’ve learned in uniform instead of just more civilian professors that came from the same left-wing, woke universities that they left and then try to push that into service academies,” Hegseth said at his confirmation hearing.

There are five military academies in the United States. Three operate directly under the Department of Defense: West Point, the Naval Academy and the Air Force Academy.

The United States Merchant Marine Academy is overseen by the Department of Transportation’s Maritime Administration, while the Coast Guard Academy falls under the Department of Homeland Security.

As RSBN previously reported, military recruiting is up after Trump’s November election victory. The U.S. Army announced in a recent post on X that it had an average of 346 new enlistments every day in December, marking the highest level in 15 years.

“@USAREC had their most productive December in 15 years by enlisting 346 Soldiers daily into the World’s greatest #USArmy! Our Recruiters have one of the toughest jobs – inspiring the next generation of #Soldiers to serve. Congratulations and keep up the great work! #BAYCB,” the U.S. Army account posted.

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth celebrated the growth, posting, “@USArmy is back! Growing future lethal warriors prepared to fight and win our nation’s wars!”
