President Donald Trump called for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser to testify about their role in the Jan. 6 riot at Capitol Hill.

Trump pointed out the hypocrisy of Democrats refusing to answer questions about the events of Jan. 6 in a post on Truth Social, saying, “Why aren’t the Unselects asking Nancy Pelosi and the Mayor of D.C. to testify as to why they turned down my recommendation on January 3rd of 10,000 to 20,000 troops to stand guard at the Capitol Building on January 6th.”

A recent report by The Federalist showed that Reps. Jim Banks, R-Ind., and Rodney Davis, R-Ill., who released a preliminary report of their own investigation into the Jan. 6 riot, believe Nancy Pelosi is partially responsible for the event.

“The Committee has lied and made numerous unsupported and disputed claims that have been thoughtlessly parroted by their media and ‘fact-checking’ allies,” they said.

Trump has criticized the Jan. 6 committee numerous times for failing to investigate why Pelosi refused Trump’s offer of additional troops to protect the Capitol Building. As Trump said, “Had they followed this recommendation, there would have been no problem on January 6th!!! They must testify!”

Banks and Davis explained this decision created the conditions that resulted in the attack on the Capitol, saying, “This inaction left the Capitol unnecessarily vulnerable.”

A growing number of Republicans have expressed concerns about the Democrats’ one-sided Jan. 6 committee. Instead of presenting all the facts and examining the evidence, the Democrats have only released information that they believe will implicate the 45th president.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., told Fox News, “We can’t know what Nancy Pelosi’s texts are. We can’t know what she said to the sergeant of arms, we can’t know what she said to the Capitol police officer.”
