Special guest speakers for President Trump’s South Carolina Independence Day celebration have been announced by his campaign.
His decision to celebrate in Pickens on July 1 was announced earlier this month, per RSBN, with a commitment to deliver “First in the South” remarks on East Main Street at 1:00 p.m. ET.
Now the Saturday guest speaker lineup has been solidified. This includes South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster, Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., Rep. William Timmons, R-S.C., and more.
In addition, a performance by the Rushingbrook Children’s Choir will take place. The choir made headlines in May, when Capitol police shut down their performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner,” according to the New York Post.
This was despite having received permission to perform, due to what the New York Post reported was a “miscommunication.”
The story went viral and sparked outrage from various Americans. The New York Post article noted that even House Speaker Kevin McCarthy decried the incident as “unacceptable.”
Thankfully, despite being silenced in Washington D.C., the Rushingbrook Children’s Choir will now be allowed to perform in front of President Trump to honor the nation’s birthday.
President Trump’s decision to host his celebration in South Carolina is proving favorable among voters as the most recent National Public Affairs survey displays his lead in the polls for that area.
He posted the results to Truth Social Wednesday.
