President Donald Trump celebrated the appointing of the “best and most diverse Cabinet ever,” thanking his transition team on their important work ahead of Inauguration Day.

Trump specifically mentioned his Transition Team leaders in a Truth Social post Wednesday, highlighting their efforts since his November comeback victory.

“I would like to thank Howard Lutnick and Linda McMahon for all of the great work they did on my transition. We appointed the best and most diverse Cabinet ever, and in record time! They will now focus on their very important Departments, Commerce and Education. We are now ahead of schedule to fill many Deputy and Assistant positions in our Cabinet,” Trump wrote.

“We will soon have the most AMERICA FIRST Administration in History. The best is yet to come!” he added.

Trump’s nominees came much more quickly than following his 2016 victory. He also included a wide array of leaders, including some former Democrats.

Some of the diverse choices in his early selections included former Hawaiian Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard to serve as Director of National Intelligence. Trump also nominated former Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to lead Health and Human Services.

Trump’s picks have included other historic firsts, including Susie Wiles as the first female White House Chief of Staff. He also selected Karoline Leavitt as his White House Press Secretary, making her one of the youngest leaders in the administration’s leadership at 27 years old.

One of his most innovative appointments included entrepreneurs Vivek Ramaswamy and Elon Musk to lead the newly created Department of Government Efficiency. Known as DOGE, the effort plans to eliminate government waste to help all Americans.

Not all nominees have worked out as planned. Trump originally nominated former Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz as U.S. General Attorney. Following controversy concerning a House Ethics Committee report, Gaetz withdrew his name from the role.

Veteran and former Fox News host Pete Hegseth has also encountered media attacks after being nominated as Defense Secretary. Unlike Gaetz, however, Trump has voiced his ongoing support and Hegseth continues to move forward in meeting with senators to secure votes in confirming his nomination.
