President Donald Trump congratulated Missouri legislators after they voted to update the Missouri congressional map.

He posted about the Tuesday advancement on Truth Social, calling it “much fairer.” Trump then noted his popularity in the area, stating, “It was my Great Honor to win Missouri six times, including Primaries, in 2016, 2020, and 2024 (Getting the Highest Number of Votes for any Office in the History of the State!), and this new Map will give the wonderful people of Missouri the opportunity to elect an additional MAGA Republican in the 2026 Midterm Elections.”

“The Missouri Senate must pass this Map now, AS IS, to deliver a gigantic Victory for Republicans in the ‘Show Me State,’ and across the Country,” he added. “I will be watching closely.”

According to Fox News, the Missouri House of Representatives passed the new congressional map in a special session. Governor Mike Kehoe stated, “Missouri’s conservative, commonsense values should be truly represented at all levels of government, and the Missouri First Map delivers just that.”

This comes less than a month after Texas lawmakers voted to update their congressional map, creating five new districts ahead of the 2026 midterm elections, per the New York Post.
