President Donald Trump gave a new nickname to President Joe Biden’s Green New Deal, now calling it the “Green New Scam.”

Trump appeared at a New Hampshire rally over the weekend to talk to the state’s voters about the upcoming elections and his plans if he were to return to the White House in 2024. During his speech, the 45th president called out Biden’s current Green New Deal, which pushes for U.S. policies that address climate change and global warming.

Trump stated that not only does the Biden administration “not know what they’re doing,” but that the policies pushed through the Green New Deal are a “socialist scam.”

“They don’t know what they’re doing but you’re gonna be in the poorhouse to fund his big government Green New Deal, which is a socialist scam,” Trump stated. “And you know what you have to be careful, it’s gonna put us all in big trouble. The Green New Deal that doesn’t work – the Green New Scam. Let’s call it – let’s call it from now on the green new scam, okay?”

Within footage of the rally, the crowd could be heard loudly cheering after Trump introduced the new nickname to supporters. The 45th president then doubled down on his take, emphasizing the new name and how he liked the term.

“I do like that term. I just came up with that when I have – no, I do like that term. The Green New Scam. It will forever be known as the Green New Scam, I like that,” Trump stated.

Biden recently used his executive authority to create a new green jobs training program called the New Deal-style American Climate Corps, according to the Associated Press.

The program will seek to employ more than 20,000 young adults who will work to build trails, plant trees, install solar panels, and do other conservation work to help prevent wildfires, the outlet reported.
