President Trump slammed Joe Biden on Monday in a Truth Social post, daring his political opponent to “drop the lawsuits” swirling against him during this year’s intense election season.
“What Crooked Joe Biden is doing with all of these ridiculous D.C. inspired lawsuits against me is, and make no mistake about it, ELECTION INTERFERENCE!!!” he wrote.
Trump is currently in the midst of a multi-week criminal trial in New York City, where he is facing 34 counts related to allegedly “falsifying” business records in a so-called “hush money” money case that has proven to present weakly in court thus far.
“Drop the lawsuits, Joe, and maybe you’ll do better than you are doing now!!!” he added.
As reported by RSBN, the first real week of testimony last week in court was given by former National Enquirer publisher David Pecker, who gave his perspective on his alleged “catch and kill” efforts to squash negative stories about Trump in 2016 while he was initially running for president.
Pecker’s testimony was supposedly meant to provide context for the hush money charges against Trump, which are centered on an alleged affair that the president had with Stormy Daniels. Per Fox News, some of Pecker’s testimony also centered on alleged claims of an affair with a woman named Karen McDougal.
President Trump has strongly denied allegations of wrongdoing and has referred to the trial as a “HOAX.”
Last week, Trump noted that District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who is responsible for bringing the case against the president, had “completely fallen apart.” Thus far, amid witnesses like David Pecker and Rhona Graff, the case has not seemed to bring forth any shocking new information.
On Friday, Trump roasted Biden over comments made on Howard Stern’s show when he remarked that he would debate Trump “somewhere” in 2024. The 45th president seized the opportunity to challenge Biden to debate immediately, even suggesting that they meet at the NYC courthouse that same night.
“I’ve been waiting for Crooked Joe at the Courthouse, the Fake News Media was there also – HE DIDN’T SHOW! ANY WHERE, ANY TIME, ANY PLACE!”
