President Donald Trump touted his dominating poll numbers in a statement re-shared to Truth Social, noting that he was “leading in every poll, by a lot.” The 45th president added, “…The Democrats are doing everything they can to change that, even if it’s another Russia, Russia Russia Hoax, Mueller Scam, Impeachment waste of time, or whatever.”
He continued, “The same lying people saying the same kind of thing. I only want to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
President Trump has handily won many hypothetical 2024 GOP presidential primary polls, strongly beating out other Republican candidates, including wildly popular Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla.
A recent poll from Rasmussen Reports, conducted over the phone in July, revealed that among 1,000 likely U.S. voters, 46 percent would vote for Trump versus 40 percent who said they would vote for Biden, per RSBN.
In July, Turning Point USA’s Student Action Summit conducted a straw poll that produced jaw-dropping results in terms of gauging support for a hypothetical Trump primary campaign. Trump netted 78.7 percent of the potential vote, with DeSantis coming in as a runner-up with 19 percent of support.
Additionally, a July Morning Consult and Politico poll found that if the Republican primary election were held today, 53 percent of likely voters would support President Trump over any other candidates, including Gov. Ron DeSantis.
Republican voters are still wildly supportive of the 45th president. His position as strategic kingmaker in terms of political endorsements and his ability to draw thousands to packed rallies is unprecedented.
“I ran twice, I won twice…and likewise getting more votes than any sitting president in the history of the country by far,” Trump reminded supporters during a Save America rally in Prescott Valley, Arizona, last month. “And now, we may have to do it again,” he added.
President Trump has not yet announced whether he will run for the presidency in 2024, but in a recent interview with New York Magazine, he stated that he had already “made that decision.”
